Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress also known as a producer, director and actress. Her work has been recognized for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards, including an Oscar for her film Piano. Early on she began playing on stage for several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. In her early years, Helen Keller was her most loved character from a fifth class play. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this was not enough to stop the actress from following her dreams. While in college, she took classes in theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her goal. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart, Hunter's first film. After moving into Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged the role of a co-star on Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in a number of television series, films and films over the course of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
